The Program Office is responsible for driving the long-term development of healthcare facilities.

We translate healthcare strategy into tactical plans and lead needs analyses, coordination, mapping, and planning of local development projects.

We are now looking for two development managers for the Local Development Program Office:

• one program manager development leader with a special focus on Linköping University Hospital and primary care in the central part of the county
• one development manager with the opportunity to work on local development projects throughout Region Östergötland.

The Business Area Operational Development consists of approximately 80 employees with a main focus on coordinating, strengthening, and providing competence for healthcare's development power from an operationally close perspective.

Job Description

Do you want to help develop future healthcare environments? Are you used to leading and driving projects and development work as well as collaborating in teams? Do you understand the requirements placed on the physical planning of healthcare? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

The position gives you the opportunity to coordinate larger projects to meet future needs and contribute to healthcare with good accessibility, high quality, and strong participation.

You will work closely with the operations and in collaboration with regional real estate to develop functional and future-proof healthcare environments. An important part of the assignment is to coordinate and support the operations and ensure high quality in the operational and decision-making documents that are produced.

In the role, you will:

• lead and engage work groups in assignments and projects
• support the operations in improvement and local development work
• conduct and lead needs analyses as well as process and flow mappings
• coach healthcare managers on issues concerning local development
• work both operationally close and in region-wide assignments
• establish and update local development plans
• act as a link between operations and property management/construction projects
• contribute to knowledge development within the field
• collaborate in networks within and outside the region

About You

It is an asset to have a healthcare background, leadership experience, as well as knowledge of operational development, change, and improvement work. Established networks and contacts within the field are also considered an asset.

We are looking for someone who is confident in leading, collaborating, and coordinating cross-professional groups. You have good communicative and pedagogical skills and can structure, summarize, and present project results in a clear and engaging way.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details. You work independently, plan and prioritize efficiently, and take responsibility for ensuring that projects and assignments are completed with good goal achievement.

In the role of program manager development leader, there is a special responsibility to coordinate larger local development projects. You identify and concretize the operations' needs and ensure that different projects are coordinated efficiently together with relevant management.

For this assignment, relevant academic education as well as education and/or experience in project management and development work are required.
